I think Final Fantasy hardly has any impact in the overall KH universe. And while Disney is a huge part of its charm... KH on its own is loved by many people. People love the characters, the story and its unique gameplay as much or even more than Disney and FF.
If you take out Disney and FF, KH is still pretty strong.
