I have a feeling that they just don't care. There was an ign survey that said the vast majority wants a next gen PlayStation than anything else. I think even devs are defining next gen based on what sony brings out. Just like gen 8. They will build everything on sony's console then port to everything else. So after they are done experimenting with the ps5 dev kit then they will give the Xbox dev kit a glance.

You have to wonder how happy, or not happy, devs are about this all online gaming that MS is aiming for, before everyone is even ready for it. They're going to be pushing for games to be on xCloud and/or GamePass out of the gate, which can't be anywhere as profitable as selling direct to the gamer.

Speaking of xCloud, do we know it will actually be like Netflix? Or will it be the same horrible concept as Stadia?

"all online"? They don't have any "all online" aim. You can download every single Gamepass title whether it's Xbone, 360, or OG Xbox. You can buy them outright whether you're subscribed or not. Trying to force online onto people would have been locking Horizon 4 behind Gamepass. And in what universe would they approach publishers expecting them to launch their games onto Gamepass or xCloud? lol. Of course xCloud will require Internet, just like PS Now requires it to stream PS3 games.. they're cloud services.

Two of the bigger publishers, if not the two biggest, have their very own Gamepass type service. Publishers aren't scared of putting their games into a subscription service.
