Monday news, part two:

Overcooked 2: Night of the Hangry Horde makes you feed the undead
https://www.pcgamer.com/overcooked-2-night-of-the-hangry-horde-makes-you-feed-the-undead/
Overcooked 2, one of friendship's greatest trials, has been besieged by undead snacks in the new DLC, Night of the Hangry Horde. Instead of putting these rotting peppers and mouldy slices of bread in the bin, you'll have to feed them delicious meals so they don't turn their attention towards you.

Fallout 76's battle royale mode preview will stick around a while longer
https://www.pcgamer.com/fallout-76s-battle-royale-mode-preview-will-stick-around-a-while-longer/
We got a sneak peek of Fallout 76's Nuclear Winter following its announcement at E3. And while the new mode was only supposed to stick around for a week, ending on June 17, Bethesda announced today that the 'pre-beta' (wouldn't that be an alpha?) of Nuclear Winter will remain online a while longer.
>> Oh! And remember the news about the shitty canvas bags? Well, those who bought that edition are getting the proper bags.

Keanu Reeves says videogames don't need Hollywood stars
https://www.pcgamer.com/keanu-reeves-says-videogames-dont-need-hollywood-stars/
For my money, the absolute highlight of E3 was the Keanu Reeves reveal during the Cyberpunk 2077 segment of Microsoft's press event. Ending the trailer with the Keanu reveal was genius, and bringing him onto the stage (especially after keeping the whole thing so completely secret) was inspired. It was obviously a huge win for CD Projekt, but in the big picture, was it really necessary? Does the presence of major movie stars help to "legitimize" videogames as mainstream entertainment?

How Doom Eternal avoids the reboot's multiplayer mistakes
https://www.pcgamer.com/how-doom-eternal-avoids-the-reboots-multiplayer-mistakes/
Doom's multiplayer didn't strike a chord like its relentlessly fast and bloody singleplayer campaign. After all the solo thrills, it was just, well, dull, and id Software knew it. id is keen to avoid the same missteps in Doom Eternal's recently announced Battlemode, and it has a clear idea of why the reboot's PvP shootouts didn't work.

Electronic Arts commits to greater efforts to combat bullying and toxicity online
https://www.pcgamer.com/electronic-arts-commits-to-greater-efforts-to-combat-bullying-and-toxicity-online/
Electronic Arts invited more than 200 members of its Game Changers community partnership program, as well as experts, streamers, and members of its own development teams to take part in a Building Healthy Communities Summit that took place during the EA Play event at this year's E3. Held as part of the company's ongoing effort "to improve the player experience by combating in-game behaviors that make people feel threatened or unsafe," the event included discussions about the impact of bullying and online toxicity, what gamers can do to overcome its impact, and what EA has done and will do in the future to help eliminate it.

Don't expect Xbox 360 games to run on PC anytime soon, though Phil Spencer says 'never say never'
https://www.pcgamer.com/dont-expect-xbox-360-games-to-run-on-pc-anytime-soon-though-phil-spencer-says-never-say-never/
Earlier this year there were rumors that Microsoft was testing running Xbox One games natively on Windows, and we've long hoped to see the emulation it's accomplished on the Xbox One carry over to the PC. The console is already similar to a PC in both hardware and software, right?

CD Projekt boss re-commits to 'non-obligatory crunch' on Cyberpunk 2077
https://www.pcgamer.com/cd-projekt-boss-re-commits-to-non-obligatory-crunch-on-cyberpunk-2077/
Last month, CD Projekt said it wanted to ensure that developers on Cyberpunk 2077 didn't have to endure the punishing crunch that concluded development of The Witcher 3. That included the implementation of "non-obligatory crunch," a policy enabling developers to take a pass on working long hours if they don't want to do it.

https://www.pcgamer.com/destiny-2-on-stadia-will-not-have-crossplay-with-pc/
The Google Stadia version of Destiny 2 will be its "own ecosystem", and will not support crossplay of any kind with PC, Bungie has said.
"Stadia players will only be able to play with other Stadia players", Bungie said in an FAQ published this week. It didn't explain the decision further.

Mewgenics is 'officially back in development'
https://www.pcgamer.com/mewgenics-is-officially-back-in-development/
This is the third time we've had to write a story saying Mewgenics isn't dead, but guess what: Mewgenics isn't dead.
Indie designer Ed McMillen's next game, a prequel to The Binding of Isaac called The Legend of Bum-bo, is due out in late August/September this year, and he's got other projects on the go, like another Isaac DLC called Repentance in December. But he's still got time to think ahead, as he confirmed on Twitter this week: "After over 6 years stuck in limbo, Mewgenics is now officially back in development!"

You're their newest recruit.

One Rainbow Six Siege player found a way to play as an entire team
https://www.pcgamer.com/one-rainbow-six-siege-player-found-a-way-to-play-as-an-entire-team/
Co-operation? Teamwork? Totally overrated. A YouTuber called Basically Homeless has proved that you can win matches in Rainbow Six Siege all on your own, even in ranked mode. All you have to do is get five PCs with separate Siege accounts all in the one room, get your mouse and keyboard hooked up to a switcher, and then somehow have the dedication to keep playing over the cacophony of five games going on at once. You can see how he managed it in the video above.

Watch 17 minutes of Planet Zoo gameplay from E3
https://www.pcgamer.com/watch-17-minutes-of-planet-zoo-gameplay-from-e3/

Here's over 20 minutes of The Outer Worlds E3 2019 gameplay footage
https://www.pcgamer.com/heres-over-20-minutes-of-the-outer-worlds-e3-2019-gameplay-footage/
I saw The Outer Worlds behind closed doors at E3 last week, and I was going to write about it and tell you how cool it looked, despite the gameplay demo being a fairly slight 20-or-so minute showing compared to Cyberpunk 2077's near hour-long presentation. Now I don't have to, because pretty much everything I saw has been put on the internet anyway!

Cyberpunk 2077 won't let you drive flying cars
https://www.pcgamer.com/cyberpunk-2077-wont-let-you-drive-flying-cars/
Cyberpunk 2077 will let you drive a bunch of different vehicles as you cruise around Night City, but tragically flying cars won't be among them. The sci-fi staple is very much present in CD Projekt Red's dystopian sprawl, and the very first vehicle we see in the original gameplay reveal is a flying ambulance, but we won't be getting behind their wheels.
>> What a shame .
