That’s cool and people are entitled to their opinions, but personally I won’t fault MS for others unrealistic expectations. If this were E3 2020, most of these points would hold more weight. But there’s still a whole ‘nother E3 before their next gen launch, that’s where you can expect announcements on new games from most of these studios, and gameplay to boot.

Games take years to make, and now you throw in a change in corporate ownership for these studios, and next gen hardware. What exactly are they supposed to show? Of course it’s going to be stuff we already know about. To hope for or to expect otherwise is just setting yourself up to be disappointed.

They showed plenty of good stuff. I don’t care if we already knew about some of it. And what did they show for stuff already out besides two of their games? Maybe I’m missing something but the Forza expansion, State of Decay expansion, wasn’t that it for stuff already out? Please correct me if I’m wrong. 2 out of 14 is a “good chunk”? You’re really going to say the Heartland SoD2 expansion was as good as Outer Worlds or Ori or Minecraft Dungeons, among others? Yikes if so.

"You’re really going to say the Heartland SoD2 expansion was as good as Outer Worlds or Ori or Minecraft Dungeons" - Er not sure what gave you that impression, no I don't put the state of decay dlc anywhere near any of those three games. It's worth nothing that 2 of those three games are launching on other consoles.

But as far as I can tell here's the 14 first party games they showed:

1. Ori
2. Battletoads
3. Halo Infinite
4. Gears 5
5. State of Decay 2
6. Bleeding Edge
7. Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition
8. Forza Horizon 4
9. FLIGHT SIMULATOR
10. Psychonauts 2 (guess this counts as they announced they bought them)
11. Gears Funko
12. The Outer Worlds
13. Minecraft Dungeons
14. Halo MCC??? (wasn't really shown they just mentioned REACH coming out on PC.)

So 4 out of 14 or 28% (State of Decay 2, Forza, Gears Funko, Halo MCC), whether you class over a quarter as a "good chunk" well it's not exactly a hard science. It's also possible Halo MCC isn't one of them and I've missed something but can't think of what.

But yeah you're entitled to your opinion, as are everyone else and the general consensus seems to be disappointment. I thought I'd look up what crapgamer was saying for shits and giggles and even him and his goons are disappointed.

It was a 6 or 7/10 show for me, mainly because it didn't drag, other than perhaps the 1 minute section where we had to stare at a face because gears. But it wasn't a show to sell Xbox Consoles.

Edit: Just looked it up and Gears Pop isn't out? Someone on here told me they'd been playing it but I think perhaps it's just in beta, dunno.

Halo MCC wasn't shown, it was just announced as part of the PC Game Pass. The game you're missing is Wasteland 3.

And what gave me that impression was your post. "a good chunk of them are games that are already out. Some of the best things they showed". That, to me, implies some of the best things they showed were games already out. Even if those four games you thought were already out actually were, it still wouldn't make sense because that would give you the great Forza trailer, a meh SoD2 story trailer, a laughably bad Gears Pop trailer, and nothing was shown of MCC. So that was some of the best they showed? Not even close.

So it actually was just two games already out. I thought I was right, thanks. And idc about any "general consensus". You can find whatever "general consensus" you want depending on where you want to look. Plus most of the people I've seen complaining about it are the people who expected MS to reveal next gen and spout off 20 new IPs and launch xCloud and shadow drop a new Fable LOL

Who is crapgamer? Why do we care about him? A lot of people who aren't big Xbox fans bring him up a lot here as if he is a big deal to Xbox fans or something. He seems to be a bigger deal to people who don't care for Xbox.
