Don't forget the PSX!  :)  Seriously, the first run of the original Playstation was the worst piece of gaming hardware I've ever seen.  Stops working after half an hour unless you run it upside-down...

Heheh, forgot about the PSX problems. Running it propped against a wall, upside down, etc. People were doing some goofy stuff to keep that system running.

I'm still not sure it tops the original NES, course I was a kid then and I'm sure that had something to do with at least one of the 4 I had. But even the one I have now, you've got to blow out the cartridge just right and prop a special book in there to get the right depth.

As for my PSX I had to play it upside down for some games, and others wouldn't run unless I put another disc on top of it, but the system never stopped working entirely at least.

I went through 5 PS2s as well, but 3 of these were definitely my fault. One fell out of the back of a semi trailer, another slid down a flight of stairs, and another was knocked off a dresser, thorugh a window, 2 stories into a pool(that one was funny, it actually worked again, just barely, for a day or two after it dried)
