Nah it's more likely that the game has a campaign because CoD is on a 3 year development cycle. They wouldn't have known BO4 would do well without a campaign before they were already 66% through development, and no doubt a good way through making the campaign. Also it could just be what the developers want to do. But BO4 did very well without a campaign.
