There is always hype before a GPU launch... I think many were expecting AMD to pull a Radeon 4870/Radeon 9700 Pro/Zen/K7/K8 moment all over again, just not happening with Navi... AMD is still reeling from the plans set in motion years and years ago before AMD made their graphics division a separate entity again.
It will be a solid GPU at it's targeted price/performance segment though, no doubt, but it's what comes next year where things really start to get interesting... And for me, exciting.
