Ah so one game.  At least it wasn't all PR fluff.  I don't remember much about Crackdown 3 except I remember the whole project was a mess.  I believe MS will be able to expand this with Azure more next generation.  I think they just got ahead of themselves and thought it would have more impact this generation.  So I expect more from Azure helping their game division next gen.  Who knows they partnered with Sony recently maybe they will announce something with Nintendo soon?  There were those rumors about xbox live on Switch which haven't been announced yet.  What is obvious is Nintendo needs some damn servers and Microsoft has them.  My guess would be that Nintendo would partner with MS than Amazon considering MS has more gaming knowledge and maybe implement their servers better for it.  I'd rather see the big 3 (MS, Sony and Nintendo) team up server side against Amazon and Google.

There is a rumor from a couple days ago that Nintendo may be partnering with Microsoft as well. This was brought to my attention by fellow VGC member Random_Matt. https://mynintendonews.com/2019/05/19/rumour-david-gibson-nintendo-looking-to-team-with-microsoft-to-use-azure-for-own-streaming-service/

Have no idea how credible this David Gibson is, but that information is floating around out there.

Considering we have games like RE7 streaming to Switch in Japan, it is something that could happen on global level and improve 3rd party AAA games presence on Switch.
