In real life I could buy that explanation. But tell me, at which point have Cersei, Euron and Qyburn shown any kind of honor? In fact, Cersei had hated Tyrion all her life; had tried to kill him multiple times (hiring an assassin just recently to do so) and now that she had him right in front of her, she suddenly had a change of heart?. And that is without taking into consideration the fact that she had been told by a witch that a younger brother would kill her so SHE HAD EVERY REASON TO BE SCARED OF TYRION AT THAT POINT. |
You're right that none of those 3 are very honorable and its within reason that they would break the rules but at the same time they are very arrogant and momentum was in their favor having recently killed a dragon and the rest of their fleet so it's also within reason that they would prolong their enemies suffering.
I have been very disappointed with the show since season 5 but I dont have any issues with this particular scene.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
