Okay then find my old facebook profile.  Seth Martin and went to Pickerington High School in Ohio and Texas Tech University.

I didn't say would be able to find your profile - I was simply stating the obvious fact that once you post anything on the internet, you leave a digital footprint forever. I'm 100% positive if I wanted to spend the money, I could use one of those "truth finder" type websites and they'd have the ability to track down your profile. I am willing to bet that there are companies similar to Google (whether they are operating legally or not, is outside the scope here), that have web crawlers constantly scanning Facebook (and Twitter and every other social media site) - storing profile information as they come across it...    ...and do you think these companies get an email from Facebook saying, "Hey - Seth asked us to delete his Facebook profile, so you need to clear that information from your server, as well!"

Yea, my profile was made public back in the 2011 or 2012 when facebook reset everyone's privacy policies to default public.  That was the last straw before I quit and requested deletion so I'm sure some company out there went haywire during that time and screen captured everyone's profile.

Anyways, I just like to have the feeling of semi in control of my data when in fact one has very little control.  I just want something to be considered for this site that is basic function of most forums/sites I've belonged to.  So in future just think about ways to implement it.  Perhaps not wiping all posts out but at least letting someone go ghost such as their profile no longer shows up in the user database.  That way only way someone can see posts of them is if old threads are bumped which doesn't happen often.  I like this site but just wish had more control over my profile.
