Young Griff that was snuck out of Essos with Jon conington. I can understand why you forgot as it is the most boring story line of the entire series, last time I read them I just skipped it.

But Young Griff is Aegon though. So who is "fake Aegon" in haxxiy's comment? Young Griff?

So far, "fake Aegon" is the show's Jon, because they decided that it was too complex to add another important character and just gave his name to Jon...

Young Griff is 99% a fake Aegon. He's the Perkin Warbeck of the ASOIAF series. Even without the War of the Roses parallels, there's plenty of evidence in the books, such as Daenerys' dreams etc. and the fact he was cut from the show.

Now, it's still to be known if show Cersei is actually standing for the fake Aegon (as the Gold Company contract would suggest). In the books people are bringing Daenerys the news about him. And Dany's dreams strongly suggest the two will meet, and she will be the one to oust him.

Jon is very likely Rhaegar's other son, so I don't think the show is merging into him any parts of the Young Griff character.

Edit - all of this aside, a fun note: I was doing a quick reread of some parts of the books and remembered Dany has sex with her maidservants, and so does Cersei with her handmaiden. And Sweetrobin tries to suck on Sansa's breasts. George, you naughty boy! All of this should have been in the show.
