For me, NHL Hitz Pro and Xtreme-G III were two games that absolutely made the Gamecube controller's button placement seem heavenly.
I can imagine a game like power stone bieng meh, but, when you wanted to keep your thumb firmly on the main button but use the side or back of your thumb to tap one of the others at the same time (especially rapid style) it was ecstasy compared to ANY other controller ever made.
