I've been using the word my whole life and I will continue to do so in private conversations. I know the definition of racism and I know I am not a racist. Words mean nothing without context.

And the fact that some words are not allowed to be spoken even outside of their context is inherently wrong. It's despicable and narrow minded.

May be the first time i've seen that "I'm not a racist" not be immediately followed by "I have a black friend".

"It's despicable and narrow minded." - How ironic...

Weird response, no actual points were made. Its like you just wanted to show you disagree and you're morally superior but no substance.

Just to mix it up I say, "I have black friends but I'm incredibly racist."

The point is that the definition of racism or any -isms for that matter is a true believe in the inferiority of a race, gender or whatever and the intent of disparaging said race, gender or whatever.

That means it is absolutely impossible to be "accidentally racist". I don't believe a race is inferior and I don't intent to disparage them, therefore I am not racist no matter how often I use "naughty words". I may be an asshole by deliberately offending some people but I'm certainly not racist. And if it is truly a mistake then I'm not even an asshole. Then again, i would only be called an asshole by people who desperately want to be offended so it doesn't really matter either way. I'm just a poor schmuck who lives in a society that doesn't know how to spell "intent" or "context" and would rather witch hunt people to death before doing a tiny bit of self reflection.
