Stop putting your own Bias on everything, Gamespot 5/10 is rating the game Mediocre by their standard. It's not garbage like you claim. There only two negatives review on Metacritic out of 79 reviews, it really doesn't matter because there also stupid reviews giving this game score like 96 and 94. A garbage game like you claim would have mostly negative reviews. |
Which Bias are you talking about?
Metacritic 70 is the mediocre game standard. A reviewer giving it a 5 is on the bad side.
Let's see which potential games worse than what Days Gone seems to be have received better score from them.
BoxBoy!-BoxGirl they gave a 70 (meta of 80)
Falcon Age they gave 80 (meta 74)
Pathway 60 (meta 69)
Heaven's Vault 60 (meta 71)
My time at portia 60 (73)
Labo 70 (meta 70)
Earth Defense Force 60 (69)
Zanki Zero 60 (74)
Walking Dead Season 4 90 (meta 79, not sure how the rinse and repeat of WD still get this high score)
We could go on to show that they give better score to potentially worse games. They gave 6 to Sea of Thieves,

A 50 metascore is reserved for bad games, but a 5/10 in a single review doesn't mean the game is bad, it depends on how each site gives its scores. sure it doesn't mean the game is bad, but considering other scores they gave 5/10 seems more on the bad side, even if they say that is for mediocre.
You can't say the score the reviewer gave is incompatible with what they wrote, because only the reviewer knows how much each criticism and bad aspect weights in on the enjoyment of the product. I didn't say they score is incompatible. I said from what they wrote the game itself would have a higher score, which were lost on points the reviewer didn't like in the game.
No, I haven't. And that's why I never said what score I think it deserves. Have you even interpreted what I wrote or are you just saying "no u" because you have no arguments? I read, and I didn't say the score the game deserved as well. I said, and I repeat again, that from what is written on the review it is a game on the low 80's that lost points due to aspects the reviewer didn't like, and there is nothing wrong with it. For me IGN review is a fair score even if probably when I play the game I would rate it better. |
