But that's the only way to keep the 500$ budget from overflowing. Why do you think the one X didn't have a permanent pricecut yet? Simply because it's too expensive to produce otherwise. Anybody who's expecting over 10TFlops should also be ready to shell out over 500$, as the hardware will become too expensive otherwise

Surprised we haven't had an Xbox One X slim to be honest... Technically feasible to do it now or in the immediate future.
Probably focused on their next gen efforts perhaps?
