That is a fair point, it was patched. But the policy went into affect before the game's release so the devs had to comply. MS2 China released on the 18th October. We know from an Xseed tweet that changes were being made (censorship) on the 13th. The patch would have had to have devs work on the code, submit it for approval, wait for the approval, and then have it released, which explains why it was not released day 1 with the Chinese release. At the end of the day, the game released after the policy took affect and the devs hadn't censored it before release, most likely not their fault. |
Yeah, Sony could have asked the developer to censor it in Japan at the same time but they didn't. And that is why a game which didn't get censored in Japan doesn't guarantee it will be safe in other countries
