I can't really think of examples that counter yours, but I don't think it impacts the atmosphere enough to not make it the most like DMC1 that any DMC game has ever been since. Although to be fair, you used the area in DMC4 that is the most like DMC1 : P
So have you just completely ignored any DMC5 material on the internet? If so you're in for a great time! The scene I was referring was in a commercial but it's probably better if you don't see anything relating to the game. Lots of DMC1 fan service ...
