What I expect them to do is Bloodborne 2 in early 2020 but what I want them to do is a choice driven Lovecraftian game in the vane of the most recent failures like Call of Cathulu but and this being the majour differing aspect, from soft bringing their combat style and Rpg/class mechanics to gameify the whole experience past a certain point in the story as the pace ramps up. In my mind it would be more horror based than say Bloodborne, more true to Lovecrafts novels, set character focused maybe told through the lens of a narrator as in HPLs novels, less RPG and combat focused to begin with and finding a good balance between the two to continue with mid game. I would want FromSoft to keep their minimal narrative stylings but up some aspects such as cutscenes, NPC exposition and dialogue options. I would also like them to diverge from any specific Lovecraft story but have the basic themes. I think with Deracine, they have proven to have this in them, there is a lot more I want to say on the matter but I'm in a rush. Might update later. |
You think there´ll be a Bloodborne 2?...I really want it, but I remember a thread on Era about the Sekiro reveal at E3 last year and there was a verified insider who said that there were no plans for a BB sequel but didn´t rule out the possibility...that was June last year so who knows if things have changed or will change.
