Are games as good as they used to be?

I say gaming is just as great as it has ever been. However when I play games like...

Star Wars Battlefront
Mass Effect Andromeda
Anthem
Destiny
Crackdown 3
Sea of Thieves
etc

I feel like games are either not up to the standards they used to be, or heavily overrated. However there were bad games in the past as well, so that is not saying much. As a whole, I feel games these days for the most part are the same greatness that they have always been. It is just that the bad ones have found new ways to be bad, and perhaps that is why you might notice it more than in the past. Afterall a good game is a good game, and nothing changes in that regard. But seeing how bad games have become bad for different reasons (micro transactions, rushed games to be patched later, online overly focused with lackluster results), and given the fact that as humans we are more likely to take notice of changes im general, I feel it is just a matter of perspective in this case.
