Is that why Zelda Breath of the Wild beat Horizon Zero Dawn in sales, score, and awards?  I mean, Horizon was clearly more expensive, but so was Star Wars Battefront 2 and Destiny 2.  So investing a lot of money does not mean anything in the grand scheme of things.

Sorry but Nintendo exclusives are every bit as good as Sony ones, sometimes better depending on taste.  Claiming otherwise, even if the games are not your cup of tea, is like living with your head in the sand.

Now MS on the other hand...well Forza is great, but thats about it.  However that is just my personal opinion.

Investing money means commitment and it's very important, even when the money invested dont result in a better accomplishment.

Hey :) I understand what you want to say. But Zelda should not be compared to a new IP. there are more games and multi-games for PS4 than on the switch = more games-competition. But what have sales figures to do with development costs@my comment? i see your point, but.. The story/characters/dialogues were mediocre in the new Zelda, the game would not even be in my personal top 10 in recent years. It's a pity that official magazines do not rate stories / characters. Otherwise some games would get much stronger reviews and others less %. But I would not compare here all this things, i just write this comment - because you quoted me.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Destiny 2 had high costs due to marketing, thats true. But Sony has high Development Costs (Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, TLOU, Uncharted 4, Detroit Become Human, Spiderman, ect). Maybe "Days Gone" in april too - but for this game, i dont know it currently. But with "Ghost of Tsushima", Final Fantasy 7 Remake and "The Last of Us 2" come the next games with extreme development costs. That's really great to see how much effort and money in the games are being invested for us :) This is good for all in my opinion, because otherwise the video game market at some point consists only of mini-games, online-matches, games without legendary moments/good story and interesting characters. Sony has been investing more in their game development for years than Nintendo and Microsoft. That's a fact, if you look at the games of the last few years.

The large number of Nintendo games have no high development costs and can appear on the market faster than games (for example) from Sony / Rockstar Games / Naughty Dog. The overall package of the PS4 I find impressive, both the quality of games and the large selection of games. I'm grateful for the wonderful game support from the West and Japan. This perfect combi is another of the reasons - why the PS4 is maybe my favorite console of all time. That's why I'm so happy with the console, Shiken. edit: Greetings & wish you a great weekend :)

In agreement with you, yes, Nintendo for example reuses the Mario brand all the time and their investment in their games is not as risky as Sony at all. Plus, Zelda gets 90 anyway, whatever they do. Yeah, call me hater and nutter, but I believe in Zelda review bias. Nintendo can't be wrong with Zelda.

So we are just going to pretend Splatoon,  Daemon X Machina, Astral Chain, and reviving Bayonetta are not risks?

As for Zelda, this is false on so many levels.  I am going to say look at the review scores for Triforce Heros and Hyrule Warriors and leave it at that.  Nothing wrong with admitting that the majority of a certain IP just so happens to put out high quality entries.
