Note: I wrapped my post in a spoiler tag, but I only really mention names of bosses, tools, and locations.

Damn, I feel like I've been playing this non-stop and yet so many people are farther than me. I guess that's why this is a gaming forum.

I haven't fought anymore major bosses yet I don't think (still just fought three), but I progressed fairly far through several areas.

Spoiler!
Entered Senpou Temple and progressed fairly far into it, found the depths, and explored a teensy bit of the Sunken Cavern. I think those are all my options so far. I was severely overwhelmed with idol's at one point that I was afraid I would lose track of which ones I needed to explore, but I've kept it under control.

My character is starting to feel powerful as hell. Oh man it feels good when you give them a good slash, slash, deflect, deflect, slash, deflect, deathblow.

@John:
I also broke my no internet rule briefly and looked up what to do against a certain mini boss that was absorbing most of the damage I was dealing. Mostly because I knew I had a consumable that would deal with it, but I only had a few, and I didn't want to run out and have to leave the mob behind. I'm not talking about the Headless dude, either. I'm referring to the mob in the dungeon that summons those skulls. The way I fought the fight was to *not* use consumables during the first health bar, and then if I was doing well enough, I would use a confetti during the second bar. This worked well and I beat him without dying during the confetti run.

But yeah, now I'm low on confetti and I found the boss room for the Headless dude, which seems to have a similar mechanic, except this guy doesn't take *any* damage. I found the boss right before going to bed last night so I'll have to find some more confetti perhaps, as I only have three left (at most).

Also, I'm saving up skill points and I'm just one point away from getting Shadowrush, the final ability in the first skill tree. I currently use the double-slash quite a lot. I tried the other skills, but ended up swapping back.

I spent some time yesterday just playing with some of my abilities, as I have a lot of prosthetic upgrades that I hadn't even tried. I'm still not understanding the Mist Raven; I can get it to work, but I'm not seeing a reason to use it, so I might be missing something. I have a really cool kunai upgrade that releases butterflies, and my Shibaru (can't remember the name) now poisons. I need to start utilizing my tools more, as I have something like 350 charms saved up.

Also, I keep getting that droning noise stuck in my head that plays as ambience in a few areas.
