Steam doesn't release official software sales data unfortunately. We know what the top 20 games are by revenue worldwide, but not by region, and we definitely don't know the top 20 games by unit sales or how many units they sold. Here is the 2018 top 20 by revenue worldwide:

Thank you.  This is, at least, on the right track. 

However, unless I missed something, we don't have actual revenue numbers.  Also I believe this list is for all of Steam and not just North America, correct?  One of my points in this thread is that we don't have sales data that we can compare to either current console sales or past PC sales.  That makes it difficult to gauge just how well (or poorly) Steam is doing in regions where consoles are popular.
