Sony said they aren't interested in buying TakeTwo and T2 said they won't comment on rumor.

Not that this is relevant as until business is closed (if it is in negotiation) they will keep denying or refusing to comment. And that is probably reason why leaker will do it and in the end when nothing happens they can jut say they didn't reach an agreement.

But considering this was a rumor from a hearsay source on like third degree, it was baseless from the start. It holds as much base as me saying that I heard someone I trust say that McDonalds is on board talking to purchase Disney.
