I would be interested in how much of the Cell was used in MGS4, GTA4, and Uncharted....
Uncharted about 30%, but that figure could be brought down (but isn't priority when you have so much untapped headroom).
Perhaps the 360 isn't as close to the PS3 as many have come to believe.
Certainly in terms of processing potential.
Some diagrams from the past showed Killzone 2 was still overloading the PPU with tasks to do, they are now using one additional processor so they probably moved more PPE tasks over to the SPUs. At this stage Insomniac is probably still ahead in comparison with regard to PS3 optimisation (for R2 they will have moved almost everything to the Cell's SPUs, reducing the PPU's role mainly to a manager chip with all the real work done by the more competent SPUs).
It's hard to predict if Resistance 2 or Killzone 2 will look better, it will come down to personal preferences. Maybe Killzone 2 will have more polished assets, but Resistance 2 may push for more simultaneously running activity and more Epic boss battles, battling with enemies towering up to 300 feet.
IMO both games will be well beyond the 360's abilities (without sacrificing quality), but there's a lot of headroom left for a Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 to again result into jaw dropping gains.
I think Gears of War 2 is about as good as it's going to get on the 360, unless harddrive caching can be relied on as a standard requirement for 360 developers in the future.
