 I would even argue Sony grew the market (with opening up the european market and expanding in more countries in the world) so that in the long run it could sustain three consoles. Maybe somethign similar happens. With China and India possibly becoming strong markets maybe a fourth competitor is sustainable.

Ronald Reagan and David Hasselhoff did more to open the european market than Sony did. Sony was better positioned and was able to take better advantage.

I think it's very unlikely that China or India will make the next Android/iOS in the next 50 years. India might start manufacturing them instead of China but the only way they'll dominate consoles is if they copy Nintendo and build another House of M.
