Why bother buying consoles next gen?

as someone who no longer owns consoles and has gone entirely to pc, the obvious answer is exclusives
you acknowledged that yourself and pretended that the consensus is that nintendo doesn't have to consider this issue, but obviously since ps4 is selling more that is not the case
