One writer, not all of them. If one writer is needed for everything in life, to exactly replicate what made everything so unique and loved, then we'd have no worries, but that doesn't exactly work out each and every time.

It still isn't going to stop me from wanting to be that guy, that holds die hard fans to the sword when the game is nothing as it was expected to be, or let off the hook because it's HL.

???

The story of Half Life itself isn't really that mindblowing. It's the way how they presented it.

The story for Ep3 has been written years ago. So if they still wanna do that, they could.

Nonetheless, one writer for one franchise is more than enough and since Wolpaw did Portal he is more than capable.

Also, at this moment, Valve is not hiring more writers. Guess they already have what they need.
