"The magazine features 12 pages of Killzone 2 goodness, some of which mentions that four-and-a-half of the six cores of the PS3’s Cell chip are being used by Killzone 2 at the moment. Guerrilla Games’ Technical Directer, Michiel van der Leeuw also mentions, “Sony basically has an international forum for sharing character technology, animation tools and graphics shaders. ~ We’ve even taken a few tricks directly from the Resistance guys at Insomniac, and we’ve even been talking directly to the God of War guys in Santa Monica.”

Very interesting, perhaps there is much more room for improvement in PS3 games than people think. I mean if KZ2, said to be one of the best looking games so far isn't using 2 cores....

Now is it talking the PPU 4 SPEs or the PPU and 3 SPEs?

There is 1 PPU and 8 SPUs on every Cell processor.  However, one of the SPUs has been disabled to improve yield rates and one SPU is dedicated to the OS.  This leaves 6 SPUs, thus 4 1/2 of the 6 SPUs are being used by KZ2 in addition to the PPU.

From what I understand the AI and a few other things are being run on the PPU, while the physics, etc. is being done on the SPUs.
