I didn't think much of the first Uncharted. Uncharted 4 is actually lightyears ahead of the first one, which was ok, but not that special IMO. Likewise the first Assassin's Creed was available early on, not an exlusive, but still there. But the first one was not that special either. The game had potential, but it was shipped before it was completed. Assassin's Creed 2 felt like the game that the first one should have been. I did just remember one game I really liked that came out earlier, and that was Civilization Revolution in 2008. That was an authentically good game. Not an exclusive but still fun. |
Well I loved Uncharted since the first. The jokes and action was great for me =p but yes the series improved a lot later.
The second paragraph is what I have VGC to thanks for. I discovered a lot of games I had no idea would be good through here. When I had PS1 and PS2 I just bought plenty of trash since all was bootlegged or downloaded, all based on liking the name or cover. But on PS3 besides the trash I bought due to being very cheap on second hand, I discovered plenty of great games here. Even God of War when launched for PS2 I snuffed at. But on PS3 I bought the collections and remasters, ended up having plat for all of them.
