The first non-exclusive that I wanted with Final Fantasy XIII which came out in 2010 (and also was somewhat disappointing).  So, yeah, not a lot of games for those first few years.

I guess I was lucky to just get my PS3 by end of 2009. And with Uncharted. Don't remember being dry for games ever since. Then I bought PS4 within 6 months of release and sure that I had very few choices in the first year.
