Streaming is the future, however it is not in the nearest future. The problem is that everything will be streaming. TV, movies, games, etc. Right now in the biggest markets the bandwidth is _not_there in the slightest and it will still take a few years at best for it to be the mainstream. Imagine the average household in America streaming everything. The bandwidth will be immense.
Not a single company has the market locked down. Take it to the bank that neither this gen or next gen will tell us who wins this thing for the long haul. All predictions are vastly pre-mature.
