My laptop is about to die. The a and b keys don't work anymore, left shift is broken, the gpu (740M) overheats after 10 minutes of use and the hdd is so slow it takes 15 minutes to reboot (100% disk usage making it unresponsive).
I see a couple gaming laptops available at best buy. No clue if good and what the difference is between gtx 1050, 1060 and 1080. I don't care about 4K, just want stable 1080p.

Are ACER or Asus any good? is a 1080 worth almost double the price? 3k is too much for me anyway.
Any alternatives? (Canadian prices btw, sucks)
