Hence, its kinda like punishing a game for having extra content. People who play Crackdown are there for the campaigns, the MP is inconsequential. This isn't Gears or Halo which have a huge focus on MP.

That's not the same thing though and I'm pretty sure you know it's not. If you are going to add a mode to a game than it has to be accounted for in the review. If that mode is bad than it will drag the score down.

With that said, reviewers could give them seperate scores like 7 for campaign and 4 for multiplayer instead of a 5.5 for example.
