I personally don't see the point of a 1080P SKU. Just super sample the lot.

It actually makes a lot of sense. I mean we have $2000 gaming laptops that ship with 1080p screens. We also have the cheaper 1080p consoles outselling the 4k versions by like 4:1. The simple truth is that even though 4K is increasingly popular a majority of the console user base simply wouldn't care. They would buy the 1080p version over the 4k one.

I know it makes sense... However I "personally" don't see the point of a 1080P SKU.
Because even if you have 1080P screens (I don't), there is still substantial increases in visuals by downsampling from 4k.

Not really. As lng as the CPU is the same, it has a decent amunt of RAM (12GB is decent) and the gal is to run the ames at 1080p.... a 4TF GPU is more than enugh for that. And for the peple that dont mind playin their games at 1080p they will be just fine with it.

People are far to hung up on the amount of flops anyway.
A 4 Teraflop Navi is going to be faster than a 4 Teraflop Polaris GPU.

Efficiency goes up irrespective of the single precision computational capabilities of a processor.
