if you actually look at the list of features that you say are "missing", its all bullshit. the average person does not care about 90% of those features listed.

Curators? nobody cares.
Trading cards? nobody cares.
Device streaming? nobody cares.
Broadcasting? theres a million better ways to do this.
Screenshots? same thing.
Marketplace? nobody cares.
Community guides? this is not something only steam does.
Groups? nobody cares.

i look for just a few things. if i can buy games, and have it easy and convenient to play them, thats all i need. and how about all the stuff Epic offers that seems to get sweeped under the rug?

Offering more revenue to developers
Better, faster customer support
A free game every 2 weeks

competition is good, and Steam has been needing it for a long time. they need to step up their shit or they will become obsolete

Again, bullshit to you, non important to you, important to others, like it or not you don't have a say over what I find important in life, you just don't, just like how I don't have a say over what you find important over other things in life.

Curators?, yeah, actually people do. People have been bitching at Valve for years to "curate" their store, to oust any game that a select group of gamers don't like (because that's how this little game of curation works whether you like it or not), they create tools to allow for users to tailor the storefront to their needs as well as offering youtubers (which Epic is doing as well btw) the position of making their own lists for curated games, which people can then follow and share to others, so yes, those are important to others out there and if Epic are doing it and pushing that out there and people are clamoring for it then it is in fact wanted and needed by one crowd in particular.

Trading cards?, what about cheevos, no one cares for petty little cheevos, right?.

People like to Stream to multiple devices like it or not, be it from tablet to TV or PC to TV, or even devices like the NV Shield.

Streaming is already done in a multitude of ways, Steam having it isn't an issue and is welcomed by the community.

Nah, People love taking screens and sharing them, hence why you see them on every single product page, taken from individual users axcross the globe. That's a fact that people like and use them, diligaf if you don't care.

People have loved the marketplace for years, because like it nor, people love to trade items to one another, that they even do in within the games themselves.

Community guides built directly into their client?, yeah Steam is the only one that does that. Any other guide on any other client that links to you opening a web browser doesn't count as being built in either.

Groups, well yes, people do care about those, because why else would we be seeing thousands if not millions of groups being made on that client each passing day, but those don't matter to you specifically, but they matter to others out there.

Competition is good, but only when the actual competition plays by the rules and isn't a scumbag asshole trying to weasel their way to getting what someone else worked hard for. You do well to remember that. Look at the BR genre, look at all the "I just want more money, fuck competing for anything unique" kind of publishers, that just want the biggest slice of pie. There's nothing unique about that form of "competition", it's just greedy fucks wanting more money, just like we shit all over EA and Activison for wanting, hell even Disney with their remake films.

Steam doesn't need to step up as much as their competition does. The others like bethesda, Uplay, Origin and Epic, as well as Battle.net need to step up their game big time. Diligaf if you don't like those features, doon't use them, but don't stop progress either
