I am upset over several thing sony has done with the PS3 launch in EU. The number one thing is that it almost cost 900 USD with tax in Sweden, as the number one brand a move like that could destroy the step gaiming have done during the PS2 era to become mainstream.

But is the price really a reason to be upset of Sony? You may not be able to afford a Mercedes, but there are other people who are. I really like the PS3 for shooting high with its specifications, it's quite a steal here in the Netherlands. All this technology for just 600 Euro.

I think there's no real reason to be truly upset with Sony regarding the PS3's price point. They still sell the PS2 for people who don't care about these extra's, but even the much cheaper PS2 is just a luxury device. Nobody demands you to buy them.

I think you missed my point, heck I don't own a PS2 so why should I care if the PS3 cost a lot? Because of:

I don't want gaiming to be luxury item, I want it to be mainstream. I want a consol in each household. Yes PS2 is still sold, but even if we are talking about 1000 SEK lower price per year it will take sony 2011 to get it down to the same price. I think somewhere between now and then PS2 will be droped.

Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!
