The Switch did great by being up ~29% on a weekly average.  The PS4 did really good by dropping only ~4% in what will be its 5th full year and still selling at $299.  And the XBO did very poorly, dropping ~47%, even though it was deeply discounted below the other two.

I honestly dont know why Microsoft doesn't just cut the price permanently considering XBO is on sale so often anyway.

Yea, I don't know.  Maybe to save face?  They don't want to do it first because it seems like they have to because of poor sales, so they'll wait for Sony to do it and then answer with their own cut.

I mean, it really isn't going to help them much at this point, anyway, save the holidays.  You can get a XBO for $230 with a game, now, which effectively makes the system $199.  And currently you can get an X with a game for the same as a Pro by itself, yet the weaker Pro is easily beating it, at least going by online retailers.  Really it just shows the importance of a good lineup.  Sony and Nintendo have one (honestly both of them focusing on one system was for the best), but MS turned its attention towards getting ready for next gen about 2-3 years into this gen.
