I've just played the Yoshi demo through 3 times now.

This game is HYPE

I got my 3 & 5 year old a 2DS for Christmas and they have been playing Yoshi's Woolly World, they got so excited when I played the demo last night.

"DAD ITS YOSHI!!!! JUST LIKE OUR GAME!!!!"

So it looks like I HAVE to get this game now.

Guess I have the taste of a 5 year old

(joking, haha)

Yeah, this game will definitely hit it out of the ball park with kids!

For me, I've never played a Yoshi game before. Didn't really start "getting into" Nintendo's franchises and expanding my horizons until the Wii U came out. Yoshi's Woolly World came out so late in the system's life that at that point I had moved on. It looked great but, like Xenoblade Chronicles X, it was way too late into the systems life.

When this game was originally shown back at E3 2017 I kind of rolled my eyes, because it looked almost exactly like Woolly World. The whole "Kirby Yarn" "Yoshi Woolly" "Yoshi Cardboard" thing seemed like it was getting out of control. Now though, it seems like such a great concept that's fairly well thought-out. The game looks really great and the gameplay seems versatile (as in, lots of variety of activities to do). The game flow is also very good, which is surprising considering you are always stopping to aim eggs. The visuals are gorgeous, too.

Plus I always like the collecting aspects in these kind of games, especially if they're easy because it adds more spice to what you're doing. As long as it's not annoyingly implemented (Yooka-Laylee).
