Going by the vids I have seen, not surprised. The promise for Cloud computing in multiplayer definitely wasn't kept, either.

On a personal note, this is really why I wouldn't be interested in switching to Xbox next gen, even with all of the recent acquisitions MS made recently. They have some good talent, but it doesn't seem like the management is up to par with Sony and Nintendo on overseeing quality output. Promising games are cancelled, while the ones that have released recently have been underwhelming. It seems the only thing they have going for them, that seems to be consistent high quality, going into next gen is their Forza releases.

To be fair, the current Microsoft management was dealt a terrible hand this gen.  The previous management had shuttered most of the studios or driven off all the talent from the studios leaving them as shells of their former selves.

I think the current management has done an ok job (not great) at limiting the damage that was done.  I do think they are setting themselves up pretty well for the next gen... but time will tell.  Xbox certainly seemed to take a step back from the 360 years this gen... but it looks like they may be poised for another step forward...

Its been like 5 years since the wait and see approach has been taken by xbox fans and so far theres nothing to show for it. I think after 5 years is safe to sat that the new management under phil spencer is just as bad regarding games as under don mattrick. Its been nothing but services and features since phil took over. A new gen is about to begging and wait and see is still all xbox fans got. Theres no doubt in my mind that MS cares nothing about the quality of their games and gamepass attest to that. I dont think they even care about making games anymore, but they need something to sell their gamepass.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.
