Just because gaming PCs market is evolving slowly outside of high-end, I can expect an agreement between Sony and AMD, and between MS and AMD too, to use semicustom lightweight Zen 3 cores, and not late Zen 2 ones, the deal would give Sony and MS the maximum possible efficiency at a decent price and they'd give AMD in return quite a large initial market for its latest architecture and some help in the final phases of development and testing. BTW, just like it happened with PS4 and XBOne, PS5 and XBTwo would become a sort of unofficial HW reference platforms for PC gaming too, PC gamers would know that that HW power, plus some more to take into account the lower efficiency of PC compared with consoles with the same HW, would give them a machine able to run next gen games at acceptable performances, not to mention that as Zen 3, even in lightweight versions, is going to be quite a longer leap forward from previous gens than Jaguar compared with previous PC hardware, PC gamers could finally have a bigger incentive for a major upgrade than what they had when current gen started.
