Xbox was always slower, the x is no different. Boot up and install times are still horrible.

Is your Pro booting up from a cold boot though like my Xbox One X and PC? Or via a hibernate/stand-by mode? That is what really makes the difference... You can make the Xbox and PC boot instantly if you turn on similar options.

Either way... A console with mechanical disks isn't going to boot faster than a high-end PC with NVMe drives that's for sure. :P
Shit, my laptop with it's NVMe drive boots stupidly fast as well, takes me longer to input my 4-digit password.

Boots from cold taking about 25 seconds. Yeah, I timed it. That's including getting through all the screens to the main menu. Last time I had a PC without an SSD (2011) it took at least 45 seconds. The PC I had before this one had an SSD, but still took about 30 seconds to boot, because the SSD was getting old (3-4 years). SSDs add to the cost of a PC. But yeah, most people shouldn't build a PC without at least a small SSD to run windows from. It's part of the reason why I scoff at any PC under $750.
