Well. Actually it doesn't... DDR2 Ram can have more bandwidth than GDDR6. It really depends how wide you wish to take things.
There comes a point though where it's just cheaper to opt for GDDR6 over GDDR5 due to complexity.

I know this.... and I also know we are already past that point.

Regardless of the specs and hardware that are going to be in the PS5, I'm hoping people have their expectations in check regarding the graphical/visual difference between the PS4 to PS5. (even less so for PS4 Pro)

The night & day difference we saw with the PS2/PS3 graphical leap wasn't nearly as apparent when we went from PS3/PS4. This unavoidable reality is really gonna hit home once PS5 lands, and PS4 Pro/4K TV owners are going to be potentially underwhelmed the most out of the PS4 consumer base.

I think you are in fr a big surprise.

I can remember seeing KZ2, Uncharted and even Gears fr the firs time. I honestly couldn't imagine or fathom how much better games could look.

Then recently I have played games like GOW, Horizon....etc and had my mind blown all over again.

And remember..... those games are running on a 1.8TF GPU and with 5GB of RAM.

The real mind blowing part f all this is; you see those 10TF, 12TF, 14TF GPUs on the market now? They are all currently running games designed fr significantly weaker hardware. When next gen comes along you will see a night and day difference. Around the corner of every new gen there are always those like you that think the jump will not be that much.

I think its just a lack of imagination.

Developers said the same thing about HDR, and so far it's been underwhelming... I'm not saying that models and textures can't get better - I'm saying that the differences won't be as significant. It won't be like looking at a character model from PS2 era to a character model from PS4 era.

And I'm hoping you speak for yourself - because I never considered PS3 (KZ2) the end all be all of benchmarks in terms of character models.

KZ2 characters didn't look like real people - Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn however, does. Like, she straight up looks like a real person. From her eyes, manurisms, hair... Shit she even has freckles.

Nah, I'm not in for a big surprise for PS5.
