Not really. That would just show them they can do timed exclusive deals like this and just pick up more sales at full price later on. That lets them have their cake and eat it. No loss in sales due to the exclusivity (they just have to wait a year for a bunch of them) and they get the moneyhat too.

Best to wait until it's on sale on Steam instead. Then you can still support them but also show them that they're getting less money than if they'd been willing to sell it to you on Steam day 1.

People buy games on Steam for full price? O.o
If that's true than I should have framed my comment differently.

jokes aside, I would wait for a discount if they want the full price one year after the game released on the other platforms but It even hurts the publisher to wait one year for the revenue from Steam.
