I just recent beat this game and it was a lot better than I thought it would be.

Presentation-

+'s- cool art style, enemies designs are really original and detailed, the music is really great, story is suprisingly deep and gets better as you go along motivating you to play the game all the way through.

-'s - outdated/last gen graphics in a lot of places, cumbersome and overlly drawn out story telling (being forced to wander around town in a linear fashion just to reveal the story is very slow and not vey fun IMO, also the game switchs between comic book and side by side conversations at what seems to be random?)

Combat-

+'s- soul collecting system is fun (getting new ones and trying them out is fun, controls for combat are fun with good lock on system and lots of variety in attacks, (didn't realize I could dash around using the R1 botton till the end), best application of motion controls for PS3 so far (they fit very well into the game and feel very natural)

-'s- never really need to use or upgrade all of the souls you get

Level design

-'s- weakest part of the game, the town section of the game seems like a waste of time (slow and boring story telling mechanic for an otherwise great story), and having to play through each level with both characters is pretty lame (I recommend switching back and forth troughout the game so both characters are on the same chapter, it makes doing this much less awful than doing one player at a time and then having to start the entire game over with the other one, and the story makes a lot more sense when you do it this way- both sides revealed side by side).

Overall fun and worth playing, get past the first two hours or so and you'll be hooked till the end. I 'd give it a 80/100.
