This developer was probably a bit emotional because of the shit storm (death threats etc. the usual internet things) but this statement is one of the worst reactions to a shit storm I've ever seen.
No matter if you're on the boycotters side or not it's economically stupid and a super obvious bluff.
Dev:"If your boycott is successful our future games won't come to PC!"
Con:"We have literally thousands of games every year to play on PC and you will probably lose 30% of your consumers."
Dev:"Oh..."
It's almost always worth to port a game to PC because it's super easy and cheap. It's not a coincidence the all the indies and many very niche japanese games are on PC.
