I told people in that infamous PR from Nintendo back in November to not trust blindly insiders predictions like Benji, because they are just..., that, and they can be wrong, as it ended happening in December. If Nintendo says something and it is proved wrong afterwards, choosing to believe Nintendo numbers is always still a better choice.

And yes, Switch did fantastic, 1'7-1'8M in December, after such November is a great result. We should look more what Switch did Nov+Dec combined than just December. That shows more and better perspective of Switch success.

You can't just discredit Benji like that. I'm sorry but he made 5 predictions based on his available data and he got 4/5 correct.

Switch > xbox > ps4 ✅
Switch becoming best selling platform of 2018 ✅
Switch having biggest month of the generation ✅

 Switch hits 2million ✖
PS4 sales being extremely weak ✅

I wasn't discrediting Benji at all. What i said was that the problem Benji has suffered recently is that most people when hearing something Benji says treated it like it was a fact, and when it didn't become true because it was just a prediction (because the position he has is one of the better ones doing that) they thought they were lied (is not my case, i'm just trying to explain the reaction from some people, despite being fair or not) because they treated a prediction like it was going to be a certainty. Why?, because, yes, Benji was usually right, but because he went full cocky in recent weeks saying he felt disrpected for not being trusted when he is almost always right (he even called VGC a "shit hole" because some opinions of him here), so people should trust everything he says, and then giving a prediction way way optimistic about the hottest gaming product at the moment. He should had known better what he was doing, and i think he regretted saying that, but it was too late.

In conclusion, the problem is trusting blindly any insider because is only going to create problems in the long run, even if he/she is the best one out there. Because despite having data, they're are just doing predictions, and when you give your opinion in the internet, there's always going to be someone who is going to think different. That's why we should have believed Nintendo in that PR more than anyone else despite existing very legitimate doubts about the accuracy of the numbers (and despite being wrong in the end). One is an official source, the other one was just a person.

I already said i respect what Benji did for us, people that want to talk about gaming sales, and i wish he decides to come back in the future.
