I could see points 2 - 6 being the basis of a redesign. Part of me thinks we'll see small changes to a model which will become the new default Switch rather than a Switch Pro or Lite - I think Nintendo will want to avoid brand confusion after their last hardware cycle. A model which makes small improvements and leaves room for a lower standard price would be the best move for them, I think, especially in Japan, where a price cut combined with the monster 2019 line up (Animal Crossing, Dragon Quest, Pokemon, Yokai Watch) should see Switch sales accelerate even more. They could push a more aggressive price cut on the existing model to clear inventory and drive up the install base, and then focus on selling software and subscriptions especially to maximise revenue and profit.

A Pro model makes more sense in late 2020 or even in 2021, to encourage the first wave of Switch adopters to upgrade. The 'new' model could get another price cut to sell to the kind of audience Nintendo have usually targeted with their handhelds.
