Well, they actually wanted some freedom first, which they now have, as well as someone already supporting their games. It just so happens that said supporter is not someone anyone here likes, or someone that offers a great benefit to them(console exclusivity).
Yes, and we also know that said models are very, very appetizing to the AAA market, which seeks to just make more money, and showing very little care for games that gamers want. This is why we have a new term "games for investors", rather than games for gamers today.
Thing is, quality, ultimately, and yet having to be mentioned again, is entirely subjective. What is great quality to you can easily be crap to someone else, and it's really hard to contest your tastes being objective over someone else's, when the reality is, yes it is entirely subjective and it's impossible to argue your tastes being textbook objective over others.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
