Well, that may be the point, but that doesn't mean I'm going to like it. I'm not presenting any of this as a flaw, just not to my personal taste.

One of the points of the story is precisely to see Kratos soften a bit and act less like a prick toward his son. It takes time, it's rather subtle I think, but Kratos at the end is clearly not the same as the beginning. Maybe you should play more... The gameplay becoming better and better as the game progresses too, you could enjoy it more.

It's not like I'm averse to playing it.  Just a whole lot of games and not a whole lot of time.
