Rumor: Switch may have outsold PS4 & XBOX 1 combined in December NPD

I don't discount the possibility that these numbers are off, but keep in mind they could be accurate and still end up at the same end result. December 8th numbers are only 2 days of Smash. There could have been a bigger "Switch" to Switch afterwards.
